What happened
The request reached a copy of the Particle API running on a developer’s machine against production data, notapi.particle.pro. Such a server serves reads and refuses every request that would change data, so a test run never bills an account or changes it. The deployed API never returns this error.
How to fix
Send the request tohttps://api.particle.pro or https://mcp.particle.pro. If you run the local server yourself and mean to write to production for an end-to-end test, restart it with --allow-prod-writes.
