# episode_audio_unavailable

> The episode's audio cannot be fetched, so it cannot be transcribed.

## What happened

You asked for something transcription produces — the transcript, segments, speakers, entities, topics, ads, clips, or related episodes — of a back-catalogue episode whose feed entry lists no audio file, or lists a playlist rather than audio. It can never be transcribed, and its `transcript_status` is `unavailable`.

## How to fix

There is nothing to retry: the episode cannot be transcribed from what its publisher serves. If the publisher restores the audio under a new URL, the episode's feed entry changes with it.
