# account_owns_paid_organization

> Account owns an organization that has a plan

## What happened

You asked to delete your account, but you own an organization that has selected a plan or still has a live subscription. Deleting the account would leave that organization's subscription without an owner, so nothing was changed.

## How to fix

Cancel the organization's plan. Once the cancellation takes effect, delete the organization, then delete your account.

Cancel the plan (`resolve.action` is `cancel_plan`):

Once the cancellation has taken effect (`resolve.action` is `delete_organization`), delete the organization, then retry:

```

Requires the **OWNER** role.
